"Down the Drain"
A couple days ago, I had to poop. Naturally, I went to the bathroom, as I was taught long ago. But when I went to flush, my heart sunk, because my poop would not!
Though I know little about the toilet, I know enough to open the tank in such situations. To my shock, there was no water in it. When I turned on the tap, there was no water there either.
Naturally, I panicked. The longer a turd lingers, the longer the air shivers. To get rid of that horrid evidence as quickly as possible, I ran into the streets down to the nearest bodega, bought five 1.5-liter Poland Spring bottles, rushed back, and, as soon as I finished pouring all five bottles into the tank and flushing, suddenly heard the tap announce that the water in the building had come back on.
And I thought to myself, "Well, that's $14 down the drain."
